Spring Chapter
The International Symposium on Fireworks is the world’s premiere international gathering of the pyrotechnic industry, providing a space to discuss and present the newest technology and scientific research. The 16th symposium will be held in Omagari, Japan over April 24-29 2017, and pyrotechnicians from around the world will collaborate with Japanese fireworks masters to produce the Omagari Hanabi Spring Chapter.
Schedule
Tuesday 25 April – 19:00-19:45, 7,000 shells
Thursday 27 April – 19:00-19:45, 7,000 shells
Friday 28 April – 19:00-19:45, 7,000 shells
Saturday 29 April – 19:00-20:20, 12,000 shells
*In the event of rain, all displays will proceed as scheduled.
However, in the case of extreme weather, displays on 25, 27 and 28 April will be cancelled and 29 April will be postponed.

- Grand Finale Starmine (April 29)

General Admittance
Entrance to the venue requires a ¥1,000 entrance fee. The proceeds are used for maintaining the venue and surrounding areas.
* General admittance is included in all seat tickets. The entrance fee is not applicable to paid seating ticket holders.
* Children under 6 years old may enter free.
Media Seating
An area for media coverage is allocated at the back of the paid seating area. A paid seating ticket is required for entry.
Stalls
Various food and beverage stalls are accessible from the paid seating and general admittance areas.
Access
Updates on parking and road closures will be posted at a later date.
Symposium
The International Symposium on Fireworks began in Montreal, Canada in 1992. Held worldwide every second year, the 16th symposium in Omagari marks Japan’s second hosting of the event, following the 8th in Shiga. For further information, please check the official website.
